We offer computer/network support, VoIP telephone systems, website/server hosting, and much more. While our office is in Fairfax, we service businesses across the entire DC metro area.We are looking for additional reliable full time *mid/senior-level* technicians working on a scheduled and an on-call basis to assist with our day-to-day operations which include servicing computers, phone systems, and networks. Depending on the day you could either be out in the field or at a desk in our office. Primary job duties will include Windows Server administration, Tier 2/3 support escalations, wiki/documentation updates, and RMM (remote monitoring and management) maintenance.Prior experience working at an MSP is a *huge* plus. *Eligibility (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS): *- Must be 18+ with a clean valid driver's license and have a car available at all times; please do NOT apply if you do not have reliable transportation (mileage is reimbursed if not using a company vehicle)- Must be able to respond to emails and texts after-hours when emergencies arise- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, or use a computer for prolonged periods of time- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items, as well as climb ladders- Must have flexible shift availability, including nights and weekends, for scheduled maintenance and/or emergencies- Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong telephone and customer service skills (strong writing skills are a REQUIREMENT)- Must possess strong analytical skills, and effective interpersonal relationship skills *Job Details (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS): *- Interact heavily with customers via telephone, email (proper writing skills are a MUST), and in-person.- Assist and educate/train customers on use of our products and services.- Ability to absorb and comprehend computer functions and features to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and hardware applications.- Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions to further increase productivity.- Learn new programs and methods as required (you will need to be incredibly savvy figuring out new technologies).- Perform other various duties as assigned, even if they do not directly relate to job title. *Required Technical Experience (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS): *- Intermediate knowledge of a computer, its parts, and general inner-workings- Intermediate knowledge of computer networking, security, and storage fundamentals- Intermediate knowledge of backup and storage architecture- Intermediate ability to troubleshoot standard electronics (eg computers, printers, televisions, etc).- Intermediate ability to build a new computer, or replace parts on an existing computer such as laptop screens/keyboards _*- Must have intermediate knowledge of the following server side operating systems and applications: *_-- Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019/2022-- Virtualization (mostly Hyper-V and Parallels)-- Windows Terminal Services (Remote Desktop Protocol)-- Windows Active Directory and Group Policy (creating and modifying GPOs)-- Unix-based platforms (BONUS)-- cPanel/WHM (BONUS) _*- Must have intermediate knowledge of the following user-side applications and operating systems: *_-- Windows 7/8/10/11-- Mac OSX-- iOS and Android-- Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome-- Microsoft Outlook _*- Must have intermediate knowledge in ALL of the following misc areas: *_-- DNS and DHCP-- IMAP and SMTP-- Network Connectivity-- GSuite/Google Workspace-- Office365-- VoIP (no particular brand/manufacturer, but preferably experience on the administrative side) *The following are a list of things that are a plus, but not required: *- CompTIA A+, Network+ or Linux+ Certifications- CCENT, CCNA, & CCNP Certifications- Basic website design skills such as editing small sections of HTML or CSS, and administering Wordpress/Drupal environments- Familiar with fiber environments such as types of fiber, SFPs, etc- Experience with scripting and automation- Experience with Juniper/Vyatta/Cisco routing/switching platforms including routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and BGP (HUGE PLUS)- Configuring VLANs, router firewall policies, and other mid-level networking experience (HUGE PLUS)- SQL and Database Service Knowledge (HUGE PLUS)- Familiar with deploying and maintaining Apache configurations (HUGE PLUS)- Able to support various mail servers such as Exchange, Exim, and Sendmail (HUGE PLUS)- Experience with physically configuring and deploying servers in a data center environment (HUGE PLUS)- Ability to compile Linux applications: PHP, Apache, Kernel, FTP, MySQL (HUGE PLUS) *Benefits: *- Paid Vacation & Holidays- 100% Employer Paid Health Insurance (for employees AND their families)- 401(k) with 4% Employer Match- 100% Employer Paid Life Insurance & Short/Long Term Disability Insurance- Casual Dress Office- Pet Friendly Office- 100% COVID-19 Vaccinated StaffJob Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistanceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to Friday* On call* OvertimeSupplemental pay types:* Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:All employees are required to be fully vaccinated prior to beginning work.Experience:* Computer Hardware Troubleshooting: 3 years (Preferred)* Microsoft Windows Server: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Work Location: One location
