We also believe unconditional love is the foundation for which all healing begins, and as a constant reminder, the entrance of each Childhelp facility features the phrase _"All__Who Enter Here Will Find Love._We are truly passionate about the children we serve, and we're looking for a motivated *Trainer* with our shared values to join our team!*What You Bring to This Role: ** *Ability* to be fun and creative in the delivery of training in support of employee engagement strategies* *Familiarity* with adult education engagement techniques and experience mentoring, observing and evaluating training practices in the milieu* *Clear* understanding of child growth and development along with the skillset to illustrate to staff how to appropriately work with children* *Knowledge *of residential treatment, child welfare, direct care, and education programming to meet various licensing requirements* *Excellent* verbal, written, and listening communication skills to include public speaking, communicating clearly, effectively, tactfully, and patiently to a diverse population*Your Day to Day: ** Translates the People strategy through communication, training and support across all areas of training with a focus on delivering value-added services and programs support* Nurtures an inspirational culture and positive work environment through developing high trust relationships across the organization, and seeks to ensure that each transaction is supporting a mutually beneficial employee/employer relationship* Champions change by demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and work style and provides support to employees in times of change* Designs, develops, deploys and assesses effectiveness of employee training, updating as needed to ensure optimal impact to include: Collaborating with management to identify company training needsPartnering with internal stakeholders and liaising with subject matter experts regarding instructional design and materialPreparing web-based and in-person training programs and sessions to include lesson plans, presentations, and educational aids and other materialsFacilitating learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on the job coaching, etc.Preparing for and facilitates New Employee Orientation to include coordinating with HR and other managers/presenters regarding other training topics/presentations. Coordinating and conducting annual trainings and other staff development sessions. Evaluating instructional effectiveness, summarizing evaluation reports and making changes as needed.Marketing available training opportunities to employees* Stays abreast of best practices in training and education principles* Maintains functional documentation of the training function, methods, techniques, materials such as a database of up to date curriculum database and training records* Creates, maintains and communicates effectively a yearly calendar of scheduled trainings* Provides train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts as needed* Provides training for CPR, First Aid and AED, and the company's physical hold behavior management system* Manages and maintain in-house training facilities, equipment and training supplies* Maintains current compliance-driven data such as First Aid/CPR/AED, TB and Chest X-Ray Results; and Pro-Act Certifications* Ensures employee data in LMS is up to date and organized per guidelines (teams, team leads, etc.,)* Maintains training records as evidence of training completion according to audit guidelines* Conducts regular self-audits (monthly) for all auditable areas of responsibility, participates in mini-audits and annual formal internal HR audit* Ensure completion of training by the expiration dates by communicating with employee's about due dates, and works directly with staff, supervisors, management and with HR* Manage training requirements to maintain compliance with local, state, federal, program, licensing agency other laws, policies and guidelines*Qualifications Needed** Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Must successfully complete courses to become a certified instructor in First Aid/CPR and AED in the physical crisis intervention techniques* Proficient in MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint and in the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training content development software* Previous experience in healthcare, social services, human welfare, or other related industries preferred*Benefits and Perks: ** Health insurance* Paid time off* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Vision insurance* Referral program* Employee discount* Retirement plan* Life insurance* Flexible spending account* Health savings account* Free Lunch!* Peaceful work environment* Beautiful 270-Acre VillageJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $60,000.00 - $63,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to Friday* Night shiftSupplemental pay types:* Signing bonusAbility to commute/relocate:* Lignum, VA 22726: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:* Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:* training and onboarding: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
