A person in this role will help the individual they work with by assisting them and giving them the tools they need to live an independent and purposeful life and to be involved as an integral part of their community.*What We Offer *The Direct Service Professional is a part-time position with potential to become full-time. The DSP has the ability to make their own hours depending on the needs of the individual they serve, hours may include weekends and holidays if needed by the individual. We offer - Ability to have a flexible schedule- Paid training- Experience in a rewarding field and potential to grow with us-Benefits offered to full-time employees after a waiting period- caseloads in different areas, not just one central location*The Direct Support Professional will **- *Provide one of several different services depending on individual clients needs including:*1) In Home and Community Supports *- supporting individuals within the home and community setting providing assistance with daily living and personal needs*2) 15 minute Respite In or Out of Home *- engaging with clients either inside of their home or out in the community to provide relief to primary caregivers*3) 24 hour respite services In or Out of Home *- engaging with clients either inside of their homes or out in the community setting to provide primary caregivers relief for a period of 16-24 hours at a time*4) Behavioral Support Services* - helping individuals meeting their behavioral goals in order for them to lead a more fulfilling life.Additionally providers will:A' . Provide services which align with the goals in the Individual Service PlanA' . Display respect and compassion toward the individuals they assist. Provide supports to the individual in the home and community settings which include daily living tasks.. Plan activities with and for the individual across settings (home and community)A' . Maintain consistent, regular contact as a team member with the family and other professionals involved with the individual.
