Join us in serving our Maryland residents, visitors, and businesses!_The HR Analyst II performs professional work in the administration of Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Human Resources programs. Employees in this position will specialize in the specific personnel management function of *Employment Services and Benefits* but may assist other functions of personnel management as needed.This position will function as an *Employee Services and Programs Coordinator* interpreting and applying federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and standards related to employee services and programs.*Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Scheduling pre-employment and return to work physicals; facilitating new employee orientation; entering employment transactions in HRIS; benefits administration; retirement coordination; timekeeping; administering and monitoring employee leave programs; processing Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests; and providing health benefits and employee services advice and guidance to all level employees.*The current vacancy exists at the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) in the Office of Human Resources and Workforce Development in Baltimore City, MD.* _The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Candidates appointed to positions in these classifications may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.2.
