We are seeking a Behavioral Counselor (PRP Rehabilitation Counselor) who is motivated, reliable, compassionate, a team player, self-starter and someone who believes in our mission.As a Rehabilitation Counselor, you would be helping individuals with severe mental health conditions to achieve independence by providing 1:1 support through life skills training and hands-on assistance in the areas of: self-care, social skills, independent living, employment, mental health wellness and recovery.*PPS Mission: *Our mission is to provide quality mental health services with compassion and respect for our clients and their families.*About Parker Psychiatric Services, Inc: *Parker Psychiatric Services (PPS) is a "One Stop Mental Health Service Provider Without Walls." We are community based, family focused, and provide person-centered mental health support to children, adults, and families in the Baltimore metro area. Our services listed below are offered as wraparound or standalone:* Psychiatry (Medication Management)* Therapy (One on one or Group)* Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) - Behavioral Counseling with Life Skills programming* Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program - IOP/OP (Alcohol/Drug Recovery)*Job Description: *The Behavioral Counselor's tasks shall be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:* Participate in the initial intake assessment and development of the Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP) with guidance from the Rehabilitation Specialist.* Responsible for implementing the rehabilitation activities outlined in the clientsA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents IRP.* Provide clients with support in the development of self-care skills, social skills, independent living skills, mental health wellness and recovery.* Assist clients with obtaining driverA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s license or state ID, employment, housing, and additional supportive resources.* Complete weekly client encounter notes and monthly progress notes for each client.* Meet compliance requirements for contact notes and monthly summaries.* Participate in ongoing on-site, off-site, and/or telehealth sessions with clients (minimum 4 sessions per month for minors and 6 sessions per month for adults).* Communicate changes in client behavior and progress towards goals to the Rehabilitation Specialist.* Responsible for collaborating with Therapists and other mental health providers to ensure that client IRPs are facilitated, and the clientsA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents needs are being met.* Participation in weekly client group training.* Participation in monthly supervision and treatment team meetings.*Job Requirements: ** High School Diploma* A Valid Maryland State DriverA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s License* Reliable Vehicle* 1 Year of Work Experience in a Supervised Mental Health Setting* Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills* Ability to Use Computers and Telecommunications Devices*You are a great candidate for this position if: ** You are passionate about helping individuals to live their best life now through your professional expertise.* You like having the ability to structure your own schedule - this position will require afternoon and evening availability.* You are interested in professional development.* You enjoy being a part of a small organization - we are Parker People!* You are motivated to increase your earning potential.* You have excellent time and task management skills with attention to detail.*Benefits: ** Ability to Set Your Own Hours* Advocate for Work-Life Balance* Signing Bonus* Full-time Employees are eligible to enroll in our Company Benefits package after a 90-day provisional period*Salary Range: ** $25-$32 per hour (varies based on experience)Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Flexible schedule* Health insuranceSchedule:* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Night shift* Weekend availabilitySupplemental pay types:* Signing bonusCOVID-19 considerations:PPS takes every precaution to ensure that our employees and clients remain safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
