Help children learn from playing, solving problems, questioning, and experimenting by using Stories and rhyming games to teach language and vocabulary. Help involve the children in creative activities, such as art, dance, and music. Assistant teacher needs to prepare daily and long-term schedules of activities to stimulate and educate the children in their care, as well as monitor and keep records of childrenA$ cents A cents ' not A cents " cents s progress.Communication skills. Must be able to talk with parents and colleagues about the progress of the children in their care. Good judgment is necessary for Assistant teachers to respond to emergencies or difficult situations.Instructional skills. Assistant teachers need to work well with people to develop good relationships with parents, children, and colleagues.Patience. Working with children can be stressful at times, so Assistant teachers need to be able to respond to overwhelming and difficult situations calmly.Physical stamina.
