TIAG is now hiring an* Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) *to join our team supporting Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic in Alexandria, VA area. This is mostly a remote position, with occasional travel and visit to base in Alexandria, VA. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered.This role will be working with NIWC team to provide technical expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity Engineering for multiple Navy customers. The ideal candidate will be experienced at applying security controls and security tools to systems pro-actively or as a result of findings from security assessments and other deliverables as required throughout the RMF lifecycle. The ISSE will apply his/her experience and knowledge to help the project team support the guide, design, implementation, documentation, and troubleshooting of the environment(s).*Responsibilities include: ** Primarily assist NIWC's customers with RMF Authorization as ISSE up to TS level* Contributes to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations in accordance with DoD, DoN, and NIST policies, guidance, and best practices* Run and/or review Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans in accordance with DoD and Navy guidance* Collaborate with site administrators and cyber team on applying patches, updates, and upgrades to minimize findings* Perform regression testing to ensure security updates do not impact operations or functions* Develop mitigations for open findings and/or update POA&M* Submit security control results on eMASS and assist Validators with updating artifacts* Develop automation process whenever possible to ease burden on systems administrators and increase efficiencies* Support or conduct continuous monitoring activities like regular scans and reporting* Assist in ensuring that VRAM site has the updated security scans and track IAVAs and other cyber alerts (CTOs)* Draft diagrams, plans, policies, and SOPs in support of RMF activities* Ensure a positive and productive working relationship with key stakeholders as applicable*Required Experience: ** Active DoD TS/SCI clearance* 5+ years in RMF on Navy systems and eMASS* Experience with Microsoft servers, network, STIGs, SCAP, and ACAS* Experience with JWICS RMF process is highly desired* Experienced at engineering security controls to systems and security tools when required as a result of and in support of Assessment and Authorization activities across the IT enterprise* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related engineering discipline is highly desired* Compliant with DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification* Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones* Strong team player with proven experience and ability to collaborate internally among teams and externally among application and business units* Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detailTIAG is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
