WeA$ $A' cents A$ 'A cents ' not A$ 'A cents " cents re interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the table!Operating Engineer SummaryThe Operating Engineer will assist in the hands-on maintenance of building systems for the safe, efficient, and proper operations of all assigned properties. Engineer will perform minor repairs and helps in the operation, monitoring, and performance of preventive maintenance on the building systems as necessary.*Duties and Responsibilities: ** Performs maintenance, monitoring repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire/Life Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.* Maintains responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.* Maintains the condition of the property equipment which includes cleaning, inspecting, calibrating and changing parts to maintain the HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.* Reviews monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.* Evaluates vendors and suppliers on a regular basis with regard to quality and competitive pricing.* Verifies the accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description.* Records readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.* Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.* Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory. A$ $A' cents A$ 'A cents ' not A$ 'A' cents Monitors the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractor.*Requirements: ** 3+ years of experience in the building maintenance industry.* Accredited trade school degree in HVAC, electronic, or other industry related trade. Union training and certification is also acceptable.* Possess a Universal CFC certification.* Knowledge in the safe and proper use of the following tools: ladders, lifts, basic hand tools, volt meter, manual drain auger, plumberA$ $A' cents A$ 'A cents ' not A$ 'A cents " cents s helper, safety goggles, ear protection, and fire extinguisher.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.* Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.* Must be able to be on stand-by and to assist with after-hours emergencies.* The candidate must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.* Climb up ladders and roof hatches (30').* Must be comfortable with working in less-than-ideal working conditions.* Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (fully vaccinated is defined as an initial round of vaccination plus one booster).*Highly Desirable Attributes: ** Knowledge and understanding of HVAC sequence of operations to maximize energy saving while using real time data platforms.* HVAC troubleshooting skills (completing course work leading toward licensure and certification preferred).* Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate a high level of customer care.#app#INDCORP1Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
