Our commitment to our core values and dedication to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment, allows the Firm to attract and retain the brightest in the industry.*Job Overview*Blank Rome is seeking to add a Facilities Technician in Washington, DC to be responsible for maintaining the physical condition and aesthetic appearance of the Firm's physical space. As a contributing member of the Facilities Team, the Facilities Technician is proactive in fixing, repairing, and performing troubleshooting to ensure a safe and clean environment._This role is an in-office working arrangement. Potential candidates must live within commuting distance of our Washington, DC office to be onsite 5 days per week. In this role, you will report to the Office Administrator._*Essential Functions** Acknowledges and responds timely to requests received by the Facilities Team.* Acts as the primary contact for all personnel for any building issues (climate control, odors, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs).* Performs immediate cleaning duties as necessary to maintain a clean facility.* Responsible for minor repairs and general maintenance of firm fixtures, furniture, equipment etc.* Moves and safely stores furniture and office equipment using appropriate tools and methods.* Assists with internal office moves, including but not limited to, packing offices, moving furniture, hanging pictures and preparing office for next occupant.* Monitors and replaces light bulbs.* Spot cleans the walls, glass doors, carpet and furniture.* Maintains pantry/kitchen areas in local office, including but not limited to supply inventory, weekly snack offerings and discarding of expired items.* Assists with conference room set ups and breakdowns as necessary, including but not limited to preparation for office events, requiring storage of furniture.* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.* Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.The above essential functions represent the general nature and level of responsibilities for this position and is not intended to be an all-inclusive list.
