JLS Automation is currently accepting candidates for a Human Resources Generalist position for our corporate office in York, PA. The Human Resources Generalist will work with a leader in primary and secondary packaging machinery for the food manufacturing industry. JLSA' (R) offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance at no cost to the employee.*Human Resources Generalist Job Objective*Responsible for performing a wide range of HR activities including HR administration, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, legal compliance efforts, and employee engagement. Serves as a trusted advisor to the Director of HR. This is a full-time, 100% ONSITE, exempt position reporting to the Director of HR.*Human Resources Generalist Job Duties and Responsibilities** Responsible for management and overall functionality of the HR database and benefit management systems. Creates a consistent process and procedure to ensure all information is captured timely and accurately. Maintains and ensures accuracy of all electronic and paper employee records.* Administers the employee leave, disability, and FMLA programs. Creates forms, instructions, and educational materials, and maintains all necessary compliance.* Handles the day-to-day administration of the health care benefits programs including enrollments and COBRA. Assists employees and interfaces with benefit providers to ensure excellent service to employees. Participates in the annual benefit open enrollment process, designing and delivery of educational materials, and processing of benefit changes.* Participates in the 401k administration to include employee enrollment, educational materials and learning opportunities.* Processes first reports of worker compensation injury cases and provides follow-up information to carriers, employees, and managers as needed.* Assists with general employee relations issues and questions including coaching and counseling with managers and employees.* Assists with the coordination, training, and administration of the employee coaching process and performs regular audits of the process.* Research opportunities and contacts prospects for speakers or events that support employee engagement, diversity, and community learning opportunities.* Supports the compliance training process and the employee development & training program to include monitoring and tracking of completion.* Prepares new hire orientation materials and participates in the new hire orientation presentations.* Participates in recruiting efforts including recruiting events and interviewing applicants as needed.* Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality of information and data.* Performs other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and organization.*Human Resources Generalist Skills, Experience, and Qualifications** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field* Human Resources Professional certification (SHRM or HRCI)* Minimum of four years' HR experience in an engineered-to-manufacture or similar manufacturing environment* Demonstrated experience handling a variety of HR-related responsibilities* Working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations including FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation* Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)* Paycom experience highly preferred* Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus* Exceptional organizational skills* High degree of discretion and confidentiality required* Ability to change priorities quickly* Must be able to work in the US without sponsorshipJob Type: Full-timeSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Monday to Friday
