The Sr. HR Business Partner, Talent Retention will work to establish Penn-Mar as the employer of choice in our industry by implementing team member engagement and retention strategies, promoting the Penn-Mar culture, value, and brand; and by creating an exceptional and inclusive team member experience. Under the guidance of the CHRO and working closely with Operations Leadership, this role will be responsible for developing and maintaining programs, policies, and practices focused onteam member engagement, retention, and healthy relations. This role reports to the CHRO and is based primarily in our Freeland, MD office.*Responsibilities: ** Provide insight to Leadership and managers on team member engagement and retention by conducting climate surveys and team member interviews ("stay"A' , "exit"A' , etc.) evaluating and reporting out on agency data related to team member turns, transfers, performance issues, corrective actions and related collecting and reporting out on data related to the effectiveness and value of existing leadership tools and programs (ie, Coach Approach)* Identify areas of successful retention and recommend strategies and specific actions to leveragethis success across the agency.* Partner closely with leaders in Operations to identify and resolve problems directly connectedto retention and engagement of the workforce* Collaborate closely with other teams to develop creative ways to appreciate, recognize, reward,and communicate with the workforce.* Build out and lead HR business partner team to improve HR service across the agency.* Participate and provide support around enhancing the post-orientation connection to newhires* Provide guidance / solutions to leaders/team members to drive an inclusive agency culture.* Coach and counsel managers on team member relations issues; assist in the investigation andreview of incidents and policy infractions, document findings, and recommend remedialmeasures, as necessary.* Coordinates responses to EEOC (or state agency) claims and other legal complaints filed byformer or current team members against Penn-Mar.* Support HR by implementing programs to improve the overall team member experience.* Performs other tasks/projects as assigned.*Requirements: ** Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of human resources leadership experience, preferably as a HRGeneralist, HR Manager or HR Business Partner* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of HR regulations and laws, PHR or SHRMCertification a plus* Strong sense of initiative and responsibility and a positive, "can-do' attitude* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with ability to influence, collaborate and buildstrong working relationships at all levels and teams across the agency* Ability to deliver appropriate counsel in a calm, professional manner, and exercise goodjudgement, especially in sensitive situations* Effective communication, change management, and organizational skills and attention todetails* Customer service-oriented, an upbeat and empathetic / caring mindset, with the ability toadvocate for and support team members balanced with meeting the needs of Penn-Mar* Possess a high sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment* Creativity in developing programs and methods and resolving complex issues* Passionate and positive about people and their ability and potential to succeed, and a passionfor diversity and inclusion* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines* Ability to deliver HR services in person or on-site* Excellent analytical, technology and presentation skills at all levels within Penn-Mar* Familiar with various social media platforms and willingness to learn other platforms that canbe used to engage with employees* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and additional software programs* Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretionLocation: Freeland,Maryland,21053,United States, Freeland, MD 21053Job Type: Full-time
