The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch. The Infrastructure Services and Operations subdivision (IS&O)) is the technical and programmatic advisor to the National Reconnaissance Office s Mission Operations Directorate (MOD) in operating and protecting missions. We are looking for a Senior Project Leader to deliver advanced solutions and ensure the capture of emerging capabilities and missions across the NRO s operational community. This position requires 100% on site work in Chantilly, VA *What You ll Be Doing * * Counsel customer leadership on topics related to GEOINT issues, including both space and ground * Provide technical leadership for GEOINT system readiness and operational acceptance across the MOD Enterprise, including participation in events * Identify and help to resolve key issues affecting the operational readiness of systems and capabilities * Participate in system requirement and design reviews * Analyze current MOD Operations Engineering and stakeholder processes related to readiness and recommending improvements/modifications as applicable * Develop and assess Concepts of Operations * Identify and analyze operational risks and advise on associated mitigation planning * Interact with other Aerospace program offices, customers and Engineering & Technology Group (ETG) engineers, including leading ETG studies * Prepare reports and briefings, and present recommendations to customers and Aerospace management *What You Need to be Successful * Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor s degree in remote sensing, sensor engineering, physics, or a related technical field * At least 12 years of relevant experience demonstrating increasing responsibility * Demonstrated understanding of GEOINT systems and phenomenology and operations * Ability to work in a diversified team * Knowledge of systems definition, architecture-level tradeoffs, project planning, requirements definition or program review principles for space or ground systems * This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government.
