Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Software Developer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and development for commercial off-the-shelf software, government off-the-shelf software, and other software being developed in support of the Performance Assessment department.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Develops and maintains desktop software tools in support of combat system and Interoperability analysis, assessment, event reconstruction, and performance measure calculations.
  • Candidate must possess a strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structure, algorithms, and software design.
  • Responsible for designing, coding, documenting, and maintaining software tools in support of PA22 branch and sponsors.
  • Closely works with the analysis team to translate user's needs to software capabilities.
  • Must be able to properly test and deliver software on time.
  • Provides maintenance of software tools including regression testing, debugging, and installation.
  • Candidate must be able to travel up to 10 % of the time to provide software support to analysis team during test & evaluation events.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline
  • 2 years of technical work experience
  • Excellent coding skills in C#
  • Knowledge and experience using Python
  • Experience using configuration management tools for source control (Git)
  • Knowledge of Windows platform programming via Visual Studio
  • Knowledge and experience with software development lifecycles, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, delivery and maintenance is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to participate and present at software design reviews
  • Experience with software application testing and deployment
  • Ability to prioritize, execute tasks, and meet deadlines on aggressive test schedules
  • Adhere to internal software development and configuration management policies

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Basic web development knowledge and experience
