CACI seeks a talented Technical Writer to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector.

What you'll Get To Do:

CACI is currently looking for a Tech Writer to join our FROST (Front Range operations and Sustainment Team) Sustainment Team supporting the National reconnaissance Office (NRO) client located at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Intelligence Community (IC). As a member of FROST , you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation's safety, security, and prosperity. NRO builds and operates a series of spacecraft at the cutting edge of technical innovation. This individual will participate in the sustainment and modification of the NOPS LANCE and supporting networks enabling satellite commanding on-orbit and launch activities. FROST thrives in a culture of innovation and are constantly seeking individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and portfolio levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. The ideal candidate should be an experienced, fast-learning, organized, proactive, and productive technical writer who can adapt to an environment working a mature Scrum-based Agile software development program. The Tech Writer will embed directly within a product-oriented software team and will be responsible for all documentation requirements are met concurrent to the development of software. More About the Role:

  • Technical project documentation, reports, brochures, manuals, and training material documentation for a wide range of uses
  • Iterative updates to product user manuals, including graphics, formatting, editing, and the deployment of all material to production
  • Conform to all project standards to ensure high quality documentation
  • Manage project team documentation repository to ensure effective file management


You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a TS/SCI and eligible/willing to take CI polygraph
  • 5 years systems engineering experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in systems engineering or engineering related field
  • Familiarity with satellite command and control systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of launch vehicle and satellite launch ascent, test, and on-orbit operational processes, practices, and procedures
  • Be a team player and work in a genuinely collaborative team environment
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
  • Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment


These Qualifications Would Be Nice To have:

  • NRO experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Government launch and on-orbit commanding policy and procedures as well as interface requirements.
  • Experience with Agile Management tools

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $53,500-$109,600. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
