Are you interested in a role as a Manufacturing Engineer? This may be the perfect role for you! Come be part of a team that provides cross functional support to Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality/Inspection departments.

More About the Role:
  • Assist in creating various process documentation to ensure standards for product assembly, design requirements, manufacturing/operations/quality are being followed.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions on product issues relating to individual hardware (machined parts, COTS parts, circuit board assemblies) and assembly interfaces & interactions.
  • Provide fixturing and tooling design support using Solidworks to assist with manufacturing operations. Create drawings to document designs.
  • Assist with incoming inspection of parts to ensure design requirements are being met.

Provide general support of various needs to Operations and Manufacturing such as:
  • Floor layout & configuration
  • Equipment & tooling research and integration
  • Continuous improvement efforts.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Working towards either of the following degrees:
  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

  • Interested in working in a unique manufacturing environment.
  • Some level of experience using CAD, preferably Solidworks.
  • Mechanical aptitude: Some familiarity with various machining/fabrication methods. Possesses "hands on" skills. General understanding of assembly, part to part interaction, tooling.
  • Some interest in creating various process documentation to align with standards and consistent communication.
  • Comfortable with adapting to new situations, potentially outside of area of general knowledge to support business needs.
  • Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • ASQ CMQ/OE certification
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • 5S Practitioner
  • Product Quality and Supplier Quality Engineering Experience
  • Familiarity with cables, interconnects, and antennas
  • Master's degree in relevant discipline
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to communicate efficiently at various levels of multiple (non-quality based) organizations.

If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in related field is preferred, not required

Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required

Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
