What You'll Get to Do

Join CACI as an Agile Scrum Master supporting financial management applications that help our Department of Defense customers plan and budget resources to support our country. We have been supporting our customers for over 20 years with 5 applications across 6 different clients. We continue to develop and implement exciting and complex solutions to support the evolving needs of our customers.

We are looking for a self-starter with the desire to be a critical member of our growing team in an Agile Scrum environment. We value team members who strive to produce high quality work through collaboration with the team while making a difference through individual contributions to ensure project success for our team and our clients.

More About the Role

As a Scrum Master, you will work closely with developers, business systems analyst, and testers to help ensure the team stays organized, motivated and on track to meet our customer's needs as well as our team's goals. This role requires you to be able to work well with others, develop trust amongst your teammates, and remain neutral along with the ability to be able to coach individuals/scrums teams through brainstorming events and resolving issues. Understanding what it means to be a servant leader and displaying those characteristics daily is a must. You will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning and Daily Scrums. Additional responsibilities would include gathering metrics to share with the Project leads, helping the team to focus on improving overall quality of our applications, involvement with migrations and release testing, as well as helping the team handle urgent requests/bugs that need to be addressed in a time sensitive manner.

We need a Scrum Master with strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to properly prioritize and multi-task. Most importantly we need an individual that is willing and able to adapt to our team's processes first and foremost (and learn those well) prior to suggesting process improvements. While we want the Scrum Master to help us improve our processes, this will come over time.

The team works in a remote setting that will require you to communicate effectively, focus and self-motivate all while mentoring and guiding multiple scrum teams. You must be able to work collaboratively with our team and remain flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You'll Bring These Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (in Business Information Systems, Mathematics, or similarly analytical field is a plus)
  • Minimum three years of related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to be able to coach individuals/scrum teams through brainstorming events and/or resolving issues.
  • Desire to work in an Agile environment where priorities and deadlines may change regularly.
  • Experience with the software development life cycle.
  • DoD Secret clearance must be obtainable.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
  • Interest in and/or comfort with presenting to an audience a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with influencing others regarding processes and solutions.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification
