As a Systems Engineer / Administrator, you will function as a key team member to evaluate and make tactical and strategic recommendations for the systems architecture, communications, data security, messaging, applications, support, performance, and availability.

What You'll Get to Do:

As a Systems Engineer / Administrator, you will function as a key team member to evaluate and make tactical and strategic recommendations for the systems architecture, communications, data security, messaging, applications, support, performance, and availability.
  • Provide system administration of Development, Test, and Production environments in AWS cloud environment.
  • Perform systems engineering, administration, maintenance, and engineering in primarily Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of systems components.
  • Developing systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, or distributed systems architectures.
  • Establish functional or systems standards to ensure operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints are addressed.
  • Document design specifications, operating instructions / guidelines, and other system related information.
  • Identify systems data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs.
  • Investigate systems component suitability for specified purposes and making recommendations regarding component use.
  • Perform security analysis of developed or packaged software components
  • Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of systems architecture.


You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of relative experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Understanding of Amazon cloud and GovCloud environments/services.
  • Ability to define systems solutions and configurations based on user and client needs, as well as required integration with existing applications, systems, and/or platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize mission-critical projects and tasks and coordinate the construction and expansion of the customer's systems.
  • Security+
  • Secret Security Clearance is required.


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience implementing new solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure projects/programs.
  • Experience with Government systems and networks.
  • Experience with DCIM solutions in AWS c2s and GovCloud environments
  • Familiar with programming/scripting, protocols (SNMP, Modbus), and JSON file formats.
  • Experience with administering MySQL, MariaDB, or Microsoft SQL Server.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $71,300-$146,200. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
