CACI is seeking a cleared CDS Engineer to support the Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate (S&TCD), Cyber Security and Information Assurance Division (CSIA), Information Security Branch located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Finding vulnerabilities in common software, web applications, operating systems, and proprietary systems
  • Using methods or tools to pinpoint entry points
  • Work as part of a team and take direction from project leads and Independent workload management and task completion against deadlines and milestones


You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • Cyber Security certification (CISSP, Sec+)
  • An understanding of basic network concepts (e.g. IP addressing, subnetting, service ports and protocols, OSI model)
  • Linux functionality via Command Line Interface (CLI). (e.g. file management, log file interpretation, process / daemon management, user account management)
  • Working knowledge of SELinux and how Mandatory Access Controls work
  • Excellent report writing and professional documentation skills
  • Knowledge or experience working with trusted operating systems
  • Knowledge of network communications methods (client / server model) and specific protocols (such as SSH, FTP, HTTP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of secure communications: cryptography basics (symmetric versus asymmetric encryption, PKI, X.509), hash functions, steganography, encoding (compared to encryption)
  • Knowledge of programming languages with the ability to read and follow what the code is doing
  • Experience creating test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Some knowledge of the NIST Risk Management Framework, CNSS 800-53 and the CDS Overlay
  • Analyze XML schemas
  • Have an analytical mind and can logically break-down problems and find solutions
    • Good with the overall troubleshooting process - able to "scientifically test" individual components to identify a root cause
    • Communicate new ideas and approaches with the team and support your position. Also be receptive to other interesting ways of tackling challenges

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
