What You'll Get to Do
  • Assists with maintaining contract budgets and delivery schedules.
  • Comply with financial controls, procedures, system requirements, and forecasting techniques, as directed, to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.
  • Monitor progress of program requirementsandcost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met.
  • Perform financial/administrative reporting for contracts and/or programs.
  • Prepare financial/administrative reports and distribute to customers/user organizations.
  • Conduct financial variance analysis.
  • Manage subcontractors to include funding & invoice approval.
  • Review travel authorization requests. Review and approve travel expense reimbursements.

More About the Role: This position encompasses several duties such as, but not limited to the following:
  • Assist with forecast preparation.
  • Perform routine and non-routine project financial reporting including, but not limited to: 75% Funding Notifications, Estimates to Complete, Estimates at Completion, Forecast and Budget Reports, Invoice Backup Reports, and various other client-specific reports.
  • Review timecards, travel vouchers, subcontractor invoices, funding statements, etc. to verify all entries are compliant with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in building and maintaining accurate forecasts for active programs.
  • Analyze plans, forecasts, actual costs, variances and communicate trends to the program, line, and financial management.
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries, reconcile various types of accounts and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Ad hoc (other duties as assigned)

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be able to build reports and charts based on verbal guidance for various internal and external requirements.
  • Must be a quick study and highly adaptable problem solver to assist the Project Manager and PFA team with the ever-changing needs of our clients.
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or a related field with a minimum of2years' experience in project related finance.
  • Must have experience with timecards, travel vouchers, subcontractor invoices and funding statements.
  • Must be well experienced with Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, IBM COGNOS
