CACI has an exciting opportunity to join a newly created team in support of USCYBERCOM in the Ft. Meade, MD area!CACI is currently looking fora Joint Operations Subject Matter Expert to support the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC). This program provides mission-critical support to Cyberspace operations, deconfliction, and planning activities through collaboration with existing federal cyber centers, create synergies that do not currently exist, centralize command and control of cyberspace operations, and synchronize warfighting effects to defend the information security environment. Our team will assist USCYBERCOM with improving the DoD's capabilities for its Information Networks ("the DODIN") and ensuring resilient, reliable information and communication networks, providing support to Combatant Commanders across the globe, strengthening the nation's ability to withstand and counter cyberspace threats, ensuring access to cyberspace, and responding to cyber-attacks. Some of these positions require shift work to support 24x7x365 operations.

  • Initiate action for providing expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter
  • Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts on unusually complex technical problems and provides innovative and ingenious solutions
  • Work under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives; assignments are often self-initiated
  • Initiate action, determine and pursue COAs necessary to obtain desired results
  • Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
  • Develop advanced technological ideas and guide their development into a final product


More About the Role:
  • Serve as SME, possessing in-depth knowledge on subjects relating to the conduct, activities, governance, business practices, or operation of USCYBERCOM
  • Provide extensive technical knowledge and analysis of exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective development and implementation of solutions
  • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems
  • Work independently without supervision
  • Possess understanding and has wide experience in the application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the required technical field, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Provide technical expertise in a particular area of IT (e.g., Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications, Network Systems Management, etc.) or a specific USCYBERCOM functional area (e.g., logistics, cyberspace operations research, joint operation planning, policy, technical intelligence, etc.)


You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the identified area of expertise
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline
  • Experience in guiding of specific programs and projects relating to the subject matter
  • Experience providing expert support, analysis, and research into exceptionally complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter
  • Experience serving as a technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives
  • Experience in independently developing technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
