Job Description:

CACI has an exciting opportunity to join a newly created team in support of USCYBERCOM in the Ft. Meade, MD area!CACI is currently looking forNetwork Engineers to support the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC). This program provides mission-critical support to Cyberspace operations, deconfliction, and planning activities through collaboration with existing federal cyber centers, create synergies that do not currently exist, centralize command and control of cyberspace operations, and synchronize warfighting effects to defend the information security environment. Our team will assist USCYBERCOM with improving the DoD's capabilities for its Information Networks ("the DODIN") and ensuring resilient, reliable information and communication networks, providing support to Combatant Commanders across the globe, strengthening the nation's ability to withstand and counter cyberspace threats, ensuring access to cyberspace, and responding to cyber-attacks. Some of these positions require shift work to support 24x7x365 operations.

What You'll Get to Do
  • Apply Network Engineering principles, methods, and tools for integrating components (for example, network equipment, protocols, telephony) to develop a functional system or prototype to test the security of computer networks
  • With no guidance, deploy, configure, improve, and support scalable production and corporate network infrastructure following enterprise best practices
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of Network Infrastructure Design as it relates to the architecture/topology of software/hardware/networks, including LANS/WANS, their components and associated protocols and standards, and how they integrate with one another
  • Perform data/information management in coordination with other team members


More About the Role

Our Network Engineers:
  • Determine user requirements and design specifications for networks
  • Monitor networks to ensure network availability to system users
  • Perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct the installation of new or modified hardware and associated operating systems and software applications
  • Design and conduct tests and evaluations of USCYBERCOM's networks. Analyzes and organizes the corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling and planning.
  • Perform system-level design and configuration of products, including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications
  • Evaluate new network technologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding integration of these technologies into the existing network
  • Plan new network configurations and integration into existing networks to maintain optimal performance
  • Provide subject matter expertise to achieve joint full spectrum (terrestrial and space) network interoperability and integration


You'll Bring These Qualifications
  • Minimum five years of experience as a Network Engineer
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum of DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IASAE Level II Certification
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph required
