CACI has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer, who has experience with ISSO support, in the Fort Meade, MD area.

You will use your experience in Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to directly support the DOD/IC's missions and organizations. Your professional drive will provide you with the ability to work at the in a fast-past, mission focused environment.

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
  • TS/SCI w/POLY
  • Twenty or more years' experience as a Systems Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. (Five years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.)
  • Experience working on or with Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) functions


What YOU'LL get to do:
  • Provide guidance to the team in order to get the system accredited (IATT and ATO).SE & ISSO supporttasks include:
  • Provide technical review and support of functions related to the develop and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSPs).
  • Work with ISSO, ISSE, ISSM and DAOs in support of efforts to obtain and maintain systems accreditation.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous monitoring techniques and evaluate of systems security posture
  • Identify needs and create recommended action plans for tasking for developers and system administrators as changes and patching are required.
  • Research and provide recommendations that lead to security policies, practices, and procedures are implemented.
  • Track Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Review Audit Logs
  • Perform Data transfers.
  • Experience with:
    • TheICD 503/NIST 800-53certification and accreditation process
    • The Risk Management Framework
    • Developing and maintaining SSPs
    • IAVA review and handling
    • Interpreting Security Scan results
    • Interfacing with System Administrators and Software Engineers
    • Task tracking systems (e.g. Jira, Redmine, ServiceNow, Confluence)
  • Understanding of:
    • Public Key Infrastructure-based authentication
    • A variety of security policies, especially within the IC
    • fundamentals of technical security risk assessment
    • Understands how to perform analysis of alternatives
  • Able to clearly communicate ideas and status updates to management and other stakeholders.
