CACI has an exciting opportunity for a qualified cleared Senior Systems engineer to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Senior Systems Engineer will provide the Government with data-driven Systems Engineering, Process Engineering, Technical Analysis, and Program Management support to the Development Office with resource requirements to enable capability-driven development efforts. This includes supporting the Government to establish measurable goals, formulate an approach to achieve those goals, measure progress towards achieving the goals, analyze and model challenges in achieving the goals, and assist in overcoming these challenges. This support shall include assisting the government with identifying, capturing, and analyzing stakeholder requirements, using the analysis to propose, model, and document candidate architectures, designs, and trade-offs, reviewing, tracking, and measuring, and optimizing progress on the development against documented requirements.

What you'll get to Do:
  • Develop systems engineering models using DoDAF, UML, or other tools to capture target system workflows and designs using corporate modeling tools such as Cameo;
  • Identify a comprehensive list of stakeholders and scope of requirements those stakeholders should contribute for a given project;
  • Conduct requirements solicitation processes, interviewing stakeholders and capturing requirements as part of a formal requirements document;
  • Analyze the requirements, model the trade-offs inherent in the requirements, provide recommendations/technical documentation, and develop measurable engineering technical performance budgets to reflect the trade-offs;
  • Develop formal requirements documentation, gathering acceptance of formal deliveries;
  • Conduct formal Systems Engineering design and architectural processes based on measurable performance goals, creating system engineering artifacts mapping designed system elements to formalized requirements and based on the modeled system trade-offs;
  • Provide Government stakeholder teams in-depth design reviews for systems developed based on model-based predicted outcomes;
  • Provide technical oversight of investments, influencing research and development for Programs of Record to predict and facilitate timely satisfaction of capability shortfalls;
  • Ensure policy compliance with policies within developed systems;
  • Facilitate the development of common architectures and standards for systems in support of requirements. Support the implementation of these architectures and standards to ensure efficiency, interoperability, commonality, and modernization;
  • Partner with engineering peers to facilitate technology exchanges, requirements gathering, design reviews, and joint testing opportunities;
  • Develop, oversee execution of, and measure progress in fulfilling software development plans, to include conducting performance analysis and taking corrected action as needed;
  • Develop, oversee execution of software designs, including collecting and analyzing data to reduce rework;
  • Participate in software peer reviews, including collecting and analyzing data to improve peer review efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Develop courses of action and identify resources to satisfy capabilities shortfalls through rapid technology insertion, specifically in support of crisis contingency operations. Model the impact of technology insertions to support decision making. Additionally, provide Subject Matter Expertise in the DoD Acquisition Cycle to support integration of systems across DoD Stakeholder Communities;
  • Assist the government in the identification and analysis of duplication and redundancies in investments and capabilities;
  • Attend and participate in technical reviews, IPTs, conferences, and working groups;
  • Provide technical and programmatic briefs for the purpose of assisting the government in establishing proper requirement technical requirements and measurable performance goals;
  • Assist program PMs with selection of equipment, repair, and technology infusion;
  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate management reviews of the developed program budget;


Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI w/Poly required.
  • Must be knowledgeable with CAMEO
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant experience OR
  • A Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of eighteen (18) years of relevant experience OR
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty four (24) years of relevant experience
