CACI has an exciting opportunity for a qualified cleared Systems Engineer to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Systems Engineer will leverage their engineering experience to create, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for customer technical projects in MS Project. As the Microsoft Project and Scheduling Expert, you will also coach the customer in the creation of the IMS and the integration of system schedules into the MS Project Server. You will also support the customer with schedule creation considering systems engineering principles and the system development life cycle. As a Systems Engineer you will coordinate with the customer regarding the system development lifecycle and problems, issues or conflicts impacting the schedule. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

What you'll get to Do:
  • Interact with senior agency leaders, development teams and technical project leads to design, build and maintain technical project schedules for some very interesting programs.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to technical problems.
  • Perform research to support solutions to technical problems.
  • Develop tools, templates, processes to support the creation and maintenance of the program(s) IMS.


Required Skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand applications used to enhance project scheduling.
  • Aptitude to understand industry concepts related to systems engineering and problem solving.
  • Self-starter that will see problems and begin discussion and action without waiting to be told their tasking
  • Good technical communications and writing skills.


Desired Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Project and/or MS Project Server.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining program Roadmaps and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Experience building baseline schedules.
  • Experience creating and integrating program schedules into an IMS.
  • Ability to capture and prioritize requirements and outcomes.
  • Experience identifying both internal and external dependencies.
  • Experience with Analyzing portfolio and program schedules, dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Demonstrated experience performing thread analysis.
  • Experience with researching and performing technology integration (i.e., PowerBI Reporting Application).
  • Ability to provide training to program personnel.
  • Prior experience creating associated technical documentation for products.


Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI w/Poly required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience OR
  • A Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience OR
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
