What You'll Get to Do

The Medical Materiel Enterprise Standardization Office (MMESO) Program within Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) is looking for a Team Lead with experience in DOD medical supply chain operations, who is interested in a highly collaborative, dynamic and intellectually challenging and stimulating work environment. The mission of the MMESO Program is to standardize clinically vetted materiel for use across the Military Health System (MHS) in order to improve clinical outcomes, enhance readiness and training, control costs, and improve interoperability.

As a Team Lead you will apply your medical logistics expertise and lead a cross-functional team while working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the coordination and delivery of Standardization Actions at DHA MEDLOG contributing to the overall delivery of MMESO Support requirements.

More About the Role

In this role, you will:
  • Execute multiple standardization actions concurrently in accordance with Program guidance, standard operating procedures and acquisition guidelines.
  • Work with Clinical Analysts and Data Analysts on your team to deliver high quality work products (documentation, analysis, etc.) to meet contract requirements within schedule.
  • Provide your input on medical supply chain considerations that may impact standardization action project scope, requirements, implementation, etc.
  • Coordinate and build relationships with clinical and logistics stakeholders within DHA and the Military Services.
  • Apply your critical thinking skills and attention to detail to execute thorough quality assurance checks on internal documentation prior to submitting for leadership approval.
  • Apply your knowledge of the Services' operational medical support requirements (i.e., deployable assemblages, lifecycle management, distribution, etc.) to the development standardization actions that support the entire continuum of care.
  • Analyze complex supply chain processes to identify improvements and project recommendations that will add value to DHA standardization efforts.
  • Collaborate with Program leadership to develop and execute improvement opportunities (i.e., process development/re-design, knowledge exchange, etc.)
  • Provide regular status reports to Program leadership in the form of verbal and written briefings/reports.
  • Interface with Program stakeholders to enhance coordination and quality of standardization actions.
  • Assist your team as needed to achieve project quality and schedule expectations.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical logistics and a strong understanding of the DoD MHS enterprise, medical materiel standardization, supply chain management, implementation of healthcare standardization initiatives, and business re-engineering of medical healthcare systems.
  • High proficiency in medical logistics information systems including but not limited to: Medical Product Data Bank (MedPDB), Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR), Defense Medical Logistics Standards System (DMLSS), Theater Enterprise Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS), and Medical Master Catalog (MMC).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office) and collaboration tools (i.e., Teams); experience with MS Project and Access is a plus.
  • US Citizenship
  • Able to pass a National Agency Check with Local Law and Credit (NACLC)
