What You'll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a System Administrator experienced in Microsoft Windows administration and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The work will be performed on company site located in Chantilly, REMOTE and on Arlington, VA (client site).

This role is primarily REMOTE but you must live within commuting distance to the Pentagon for on-site support, maintenance and deployments. Travel is mandatory to client site as the need is presented.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for maintaining the customer physical and virtual server environment, ensuring systems meet operational service levels, and will as necessary support other operational and application development team members. The candidate will perform information security mitigation related to vulnerability and assessment efforts conducted by third-party evaluators, including system patching, event/activity monitoring review, and controlled configuration management. The candidate may also provide Tier III support duties specific to the customer application architecture.

More About the Role:
  • Ensure stability and availability of all Windows servers
  • Configure, create, and maintain virtual servers through Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment
  • Install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot virtual and physical Windows servers.
  • Support accreditation efforts
  • In coordination with the development team, support Fortify and SWARM scans, assessments, and remediation activities
  • Experience on NIS, NFS, Auto mounts, DNS, TCP/IP, FTP, SCP, and SMTP mail configuration.
  • Configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting of disks, server connectivity and more
  • Ability to document, plan, draw diagrams, and implement changes.
  • Capability to work on a busy environment and be part of off hour support and maintenance.
  • Aid in software configuration management (SCM) release planning and version control, providing SCM support throughout a software product's life cycle (initial software development through promotion to Test, QA, and Production Environments).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation, infrastructure, and system issues.
  • Proactively and independently identify, report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks.

You'll Bring These Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • DoD Secret clearance
  • Strong experience working with PowerShell
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows administration
  • Experience in Amazon Web Service (AWS) cloud environment
  • Experience performing system performance tuning strategies
  • Experience with Information Assurance activities, such as accreditation efforts, STIG assessments, and security scan assessments and remediation
  • Strong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status
  • Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 60 days of start date
  • Strong collaboration skills and desire to work within a team
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter
  • Ability to design and document technical solutions related to CI/CD
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Solution-based thinker; capable of resolving complex technical challenges
  • Works well with limited oversight from manager, Business Analyst, or Scrum Master

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience designing, developing and deploying software in a cloud environment (AWS is a plus).
  • Experience developing and deploying software in a DoD environment
  • Experience working remotely with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile software development team.
  • Configuration and work with Ansible Tower and Nagios monitoring tool.
