Job Description:

What You'll Get to Do

CACI is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support our customer and overall operations at Washington Naval Yard. As a Business Systems Analyst you will be responsible for facilitating the process to collect and define client requirements. Provide advice and recommendations on process best practices. Perform analysis on business or systems processes to identify improvements. Work with clients to understand and define needs and develop and recommend solutions. Interact and communicate with end-users, management, vendors, and IT personnel. Produce functional design specifications based on user requirements. Maintains deep knowledge of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, and Momentum). Perform configuration and designs functional solutions (e.g., reports, interfaces, workflows, and extensions) for specific application and third-party systems.

More About the Role

  • Builds reports, dashboards, and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) databases to support end-user reporting and information requirements.
  • Work with our customer to understand and define Shipyard needs. Develop, recommend, and implement solutions. Support/interface with the customer via the phone, email, chat, and applicable online presence.
  • Collect data and develop metrics to support evaluation of performance and progress toward established goals.
  • Assist in the definition, preparation, and collection of customer metrics and system availability reports, including data collection, preservation, processing, analysis, and storage.
  • Perform analysis on business or systems processes to identify improvements. Research new methods or practices for application to customer support.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts as needed to meet customer needs and facilitate support processes.
  • Train and support technology users and provide advice and recommendations on business/systems process best practices.
  • Work independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
  • Work on the customer site at least 24 hours/week to ensure customer needs are being met. Work site fluctuates between customer site (office, shipyard, aboard ships), CACI office environment, and home site.


Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with a Shipyard office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work may sometimes be in an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances carrying backpack filled with work materials (and transporting materials, supplies as needed), climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.

You'll Bring These Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated project management and communication skills.
  • Strong experience developing and using knowledge management system (SharePoint, Jira, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years of business/systems analysis experience.
  • Broad understanding of Naval Shipyard business and operational processes and general knowledge of Shipyard planning and execution systems.
  • Ability to use data to tell a story and accurately highlight progress toward established goals.
  • Willingness and ability to experiment and invent new approaches to provide the highest caliber service to our customer.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.
  • Strong customer service orientation. Respectfully engage customers in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
  • Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to perform successfully independently and as a team member in a demanding work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.


These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Previous Department of Defense, military service, or previous work experience at a Naval Shipyard.
