CACI is seeking a transitioning Naval Aviation Officer or Shipboard Aviation Systems subject matter expert who is seeking to further their career in support of Navy Shipbuilding Programs. CACI employs a highly trained, educated, and skilled workforce and we are continuously looking for analysts and engineers to support Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in the design, construction, maintenance, and modernization of our Navy's ships and ship systems.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Begin an exciting new career in Defense Acquisition and the National Security Industry supporting new ship construction.
  • Leverage your Aviation qualifications, experience and education by becoming an analyst/engineer supporting Amphibious Ship Acquisition Programs.
  • Advise and support the mission of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and NAVAIR in the design, construction, maintenance, and modernization of our Navy's ships and ship systems. Incorporate the latest Aviation technology and capabilities into the ship design.
  • Provide Aviation technical engineering support, to include but not limited to, assessing shipboard requirements and provide recommended engineering design and integration solutions that minimize shipboard design impacts and program costs
  • Evaluate and provide inputs to shipbuilding contract documentation such as Contract Drawings, Schedules A & C and Ship Specifications, conduct engineering reviews of shipbuilder products such as Engineering Change Proposals, Detail Design Drawings and CDRLs to ensure accuracy and compliance with the shipbuilding contract design.
  • Assist in the review/QA process for revision of Aviation Contract Drawings, evaluation of ECPs for compliance with technical scope and evaluate engineering projections along with cost and labor estimates.

  • 4-10 years of experience as a U.S. Navy Aviation Officer or Shipboard Aviation Systems subject matter expert.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
