Job Description:

What You'll Get to Do

Candidate will support the US Navy DDG 51 Class Shipbuilding Program outside the Washington Navy Yard headquarters to provide management support during a ship's Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) in documenting and storing all availability certification Objective Quality Evidence (OQE). The position requires strong analytical skills and attention to details in managing and documenting data during a PSA. Long Travel will be required for up to six months of the year. Candidate must have the ability to work in an industrial environment and be physically capable to climb ladders to move between a DDG 51 Class ship's compartments and participate in at-sea ship trials.

More About the Role
  • Review ship's certification requirements and interface with various stakeholders to ensure requirements are covered in the test and inspection plan. Manage the test inspection plan on behalf of client.
  • Develop key event documentation during a PSA
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings on behalf of clients


You'll Bring These Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related discipline or equivalent and 0-2 years' work experience (Navy/Government support or similar) or 3 yrs. relevant experience supporting Navy shipbuilding programs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a virtual environment with team members in multiple locations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Critical thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to write detailed meeting minutes, develop briefings, and other required reports.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate individual assignments
  • Ability to work with databases in the management of data and the creation of reports is required.
  • A current or active DoD Secret security Clearance or ability to obtain one
