Job Description:

Contribute to mission of expanding the U.S. Navy's maritime advantage over our adversaries. The Naval Sea Systems Command and affiliated Program Executive Offices (PEOs) engineer, build, buy and maintain ships, submarines and combat systems that meet the Fleet's current and future operational requirements.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Provide quality assurance reviews for systems going through the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Coordinate cybersecurity initiatives among 5+ teams across the United States.
  • Track the status for 100+ systems through their RMF lifecycles, compliance with Department of Defense (DOD)/Department of Navy (DON) policies, and report status to Navy officials.
  • Maintain various Microsoft SharePoint sites by ensuring external links remain up to date, documentation is organized in the correct folders, and data hosted on the sites remain accurate and relevant.
  • Maintain various Microsoft Planners to ensure efficiency for the cybersecurity and systems engineering teams.

More About the Role:
  • Be a key player for the program management of cybersecurity efforts for combat systems including financial planning.
    • Prepare formal and informal briefings relating to cybersecurity.
    • Perform technical assessments, evaluating, and advising the government on cybersecurity issues and solutions.
    • Contribute your technical acumen in Configuration Control Boards, Risk Boards, and cybersecurity working group

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information technology field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Applications, or other Information Technology field.
  • Cybersecurity Certification (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and data analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800 series and DOD/DON cybersecurity policies
  • Familiarization with Risk Management Framework.
  • US Citizenship.
  • DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Desire to grown professionally and learn new skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • NAVSEA, Shipbuilding, or Navy Experience.
  • Knowledge of combat systems and cross domain solutions.
  • Experience with the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
  • Willingness to bring new ideas to the team.
  • Experience engaging directly with clients/customers.
  • Familiarity with cost estimating and POM cycle.
