In this role, you will use your operational and technical competencies to support mission purposes, while staying at the forefront of technology and operations. If chosen, you will have the opportunity to work on highly visible projects that directly make an impact to the Nations mission. You will be a critical component in taking complex problems which span multiple client sets and will be delivering solutions to the client and its stakeholders.
  • Assist in reviewing, defining, and clarifying operational requirements.
  • Assist in researching, analyzing, and recommending complex technical operational approaches, processes/procedures, and equipment/systems.
  • Engage across many stakeholders to assemble necessary data sets, analyze and help synthesize data to bring the most value to operational plans
  • Identify technical and operational constraints and methodologies relating alternatives, solutions, and risks.
  • Develop routine proposals incorporating appropriate technical and operational issues into a plan based on consensus.
  • Write correspondence and coordinate with participants regarding operational plans, vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, possible remedies, or execution plans. When appropriate, prepare intelligence reports following guidelines.
  • Analyze operational environment to identify appropriate equipment/systems required to meet operational needs.
  • Devise new techniques by applying technical capabilities in innovative scenarios.
  • Provide technical feedback to ongoing development activities.
  • Represent the client with outreach and in presentations, meetings and negotiations across the community.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • 10+ yearof experience in developing operational plans and gaining approval to execute, briefing options and risks, understanding technical aspects of plans, collaborating across community as necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience working traditional and cyber programs
  • Experience at designing, implementing and managing technical operations - from initial concept to full deployment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and organizational/administrative skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups
  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI with required Polygraphclearance.


Desired Requirements:
  • Understanding the security implementation and setup for both system and networking functions, encryption methods
  • Understanding in cloud computing platform technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google, cloud computing environment and clouds security
  • Understanding of cellular technology from device turn on to power off, network functions (SMS, MMS, Voice, Data) and cellular system functions
  • Understanding of wireless and RF technology
  • Understanding of basic IP fundamentals and how protocols work and have the ability to analyze, inspect any new applications and traffic flows with the capability of breaking down the interactions to network devices and client
  • Understanding of network technologies such as routers, switches, database servers, etc.
  • Experienced in the understanding of network security technologies such as firewalls, proxies, iptables, AV solutions, VPN, IDS/IPS, etc.
  • Understanding the basic Internet functionality, ISPs, and network traffic
  • Understanding of operating systems (MaxOS, Windows, Linux) and how clients/servers are built and secured
  • Understanding and experience in conducting risk analysis, risk management, infosec, system testing and client structures
  • Proficient in performing computer network evaluations to include penetration security assessments using sniffers, network vulnerability analysis and engineering (tcpdump, ethereal)
  • Proficient in tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Canvas, Kismet, BackTrack, etc.
