Job Description:

CACI is seeking a motivated Software Application Developer with Agile methodology experience to augment a team of developers, in support of the development of a clean sheet suite of applications. You will work closely with multiple contractor teams and the customer to transform approved requirements into features during each sprint. You will help to develop the new suite of applications one sprint at a time. The location will be split between Chantilly, Herndon, and Bethesda with some remote times as well.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for researching, designing, developing and/or modifying software systems (e.g., custom, COTS, GOTS).
  • Present ideas for system improvements.
  • Develop cost estimates for software developments or enhancements.
  • Conduct impact analysis for software changes.
  • Produces detailed specifications and writes software code.
  • Work closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements.
  • Conduct unit tests and documents findings.
  • Support formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production.
  • Adhere to program configuration change control standards.
  • Provide input into training manuals for users.
  • Understand the structure and functionality of the COTS applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP, and Momentum).
  • Write interfaces and conversion routines leveraging the application programmatic interface (API). Extends applications by using applicable application tools.
  • Maintain knowledge of feature and technical changes in the application.
  • The application developer must be able to develop, configure, release, and support business applications.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • BA/BS with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience building complex software systems utilizing Java, Angular, Python, and Spring Boot
  • Experience with version control systems using Git
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices (coding standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations)
  • AWS/C2S cloud development experience
  • Experience with AWS/C2S services that are available in the IC
  • Experience in the design and/or development of web-based notification systems
  • Experience with software systems development in the IC community
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience working on an agile development team
  • Experience working with JIRA.
  • Experience using container technologies such as Docker, Kubernettes, Podman, Buildah, or Openshift
  • Experience with 508 Compliance
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices
  • Experience incorporating Test Driven Development
