Associate Process Manager
This Associate role will support Capital One Abandoned Property function with a mix of two main responsibilities - 1) Balancing and Reconciliations 2) Horizontal support. Candidates should have the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and extremely demanding environment. Candidates must be able to develop strong relationships with key business partners. Additionally, candidates should possess the ability to identify process improvement and technology options and assist in implementation of automation solutions.

This position is considered a Hybrid W@H position. Candidates must live within approximately 100 miles driving distance of a Capital One office and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.

Associate Process Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations
- Perform month end closing and financial reporting processes timely and accurately
- Manage and/or report variances accordingly in accordance with account closures/reopening
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for business and interface with partners as required
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and other ad hoc analytics for line of business, Accounting, and Finance leadership
- Provide horizontal support to Abandoned Property team as a risk, incident, legal and compliance owner
- Track, coordinate and own timely resolution of impediments to BAU and other reporting cycles
- Create, modify and manage escheatment schedules while supporting date validations
- Participate in challenging project initiatives with the team
- Identify and drive process efficiencies
- Ability to perform independently and with minimum supervision
- Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 1 years of experience with MS Office and Google Suite
- At least 1 year of Financial Services experience
- At least 1 year of experience in Project Management OR Process Management OR Risk Or Data Analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a Subject matter expert in Operational Processes
- At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management
- At least 1 year of experience in an agile environment
- At least 1 year of experience developing business procedures and recommendations
- Lean OR Agile OR Six Sigma ORBPM OR Product Owner OR Project Management certification
- At least 1 year of experience using data to create a visual representation of proposed solutions when presenting to stakeholders
Work at Home Technology Requirements:
- A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
- A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use cellular data (hot spot)
