Northwest Financial Advisors, is a registered investment advisor (RIA) firm wholly-owned by Northwest Federal Credit Union. We offer a range of financial products and services and comprehensive financial planning. Our clearing broker/dealer and custodian, LPL Financial LLC, has ranked NWFA as the #1 investment program among credit unions, and #7 among all banks and credit unions.

Responsibilities

  • Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments
  • Develop business, financial, and analytical skills needed for career in global wealth management and financial services
  • Provide sales support to advisor's and their teams
  • Perform market research
  • Plan team marketing events and material
  • Gain exposure to wealth management business, products, services and clients' financial needs

Qualifications

Required:
  • Must be enrolled in a credited university at the junior or senior level in pursuit of a degree in Finance or Business Studies
  • Average 3.0 GPA (transcripts required)
  • Required to be available for our 8-week session from June through August - 40 hours a week
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong desire to gain further understanding of the wealth management business at NWFA
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
  • LPL fingerprinting before official start date
  • Ability to take initiative - Understanding of the value of self-motivation; ability and willingness to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals

Preferred:
  • A balanced resume that includes solid academic performance and campus involvement
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in Wealth Management
  • Previous work history in any field
