Multimedia Content DesignerThe George Mason University School of Business invites applications for the position of Multimedia Content Designer. This position is responsible for the design and management of visual marketing and communications vehicles across all digital and traditional channels. Create engaging design for websites, email templates, social media, videos, and multimedia graphics; design, layout, and package for production print materials. Print materials include, but are not limited to, magazines, newsletters, invitations, brochures and other promotional materials, print and OOH advertising, mailings, event programs, and signage.Maintain graphic and brand standards in internal and external print and web publishing.Vendor Management and Photography:Manage outside vendors to complete School of Business projects, including printing and mailing vendors, marketing and graphic design vendors, and freelance artists.Art direct photography and video production shoots, as needed.Perform digital photography assignments depicting university life, campus buildings, and events for use in online and print media.Project Management:Manage graphic content on all digital properties.Required Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience;Writing and editing skills, and attention to detail and editorial style;Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere);Creativity, organization, deadline-driven enthusiasm, and an ability to articulate the mission of the School of Business in print and online graphic design;Possess strong conceptual skills, high level of design, layout and typography; a broad thinker who is able to offer a variety of design approaches;Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, especially in relation to clients and bringing their ideas to life through design;Strong typography, layout design, and production skills;Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills;Advanced writing and editing skills;Intermediate marketing skills and experience; andParticipation in strategic communications campaigns and measuring the results of such campaigns.Preferred Qualifications:B.A. in Fine Arts, Speech Communications, Marketing, or related field with demonstrated graphic design experience;Photography, videography, and digital media editing skills;Strong ability to communicate and present designs effectively, including client pitches, as well as to welcome feedback and incorporate requested changes as projects evolve;Knowledge of digital marketing channels, marketing analytics, and general marketing practices;Fine art, drawing, or other specialized skills;Experience in higher education; andMarketing and advertising experience.
