We are in immediate need of a Senior Technical Product Manager to manage Arc XP's content publishing platform. This enterprise-scale headless content management system powers over a thousand global websites and delivers stories, photos, videos, and other content-related platform services to the Arc XP content authoring tools.

The Senior Technical Product Manager will have the opportunity to define the vision for how the platform captures, organizes, and distributes data throughout our ecosystem. They will need to help define and champion strategies while working closely with business and technical leadership.

A key part of the role will be working on API-driven data integrations, extensible schema design and optimization, PubSub patterns, version control, and locking concepts. Candidates must have worked on an enterprise-scale publishing platform or similar. They should also be able to review, debug and design RESTful web services.

Part of the responsibility of this role is not only improving improvements to the platform but driving continual improvement of the processes of core components of the platform. You will need to work with Account Management, Customer Support, and other groups in driving efficient workflows for identifying, triaging, and reporting on issues.

In this role, you will use internal stakeholders' feedback to drive platform and feature improvements, while also looking to the overall business goals of Arc XP to drive a long-term, strategic roadmap. You will balance competing demands to push forward a stable, scalable platform for Arc XP's users. This is a hands-on role, you will be frequently called on to lead cross-functional sprint teams to execute critical parts of your roadmap.

The ideal candidate is an organized, critical thinker, who communicates at effective levels of technical depth and wields a commitment to constantly improve the services provided by the publishing platform. This is a technical role and candidates must be able to track technical requirements in detail. Your "customer" are engineers and backend developers on other Arc teams or customer developers. You are expected to understand how developers work, what they need, and are excited to build a platform that makes their lives easier and products better.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, manage and evangelize the overall strategic roadmap for the Publishing Platform
  • Incorporate user feedback, business goals, and engineering requirements into Arc XP goal of platform extensibility
  • Coordinate product and development activities across Publishing Platform teams, driving internal team coordination
  • Review solution designs for Publishing Platform as well as other groups to ensure validity
  • Assist with internal and external documentation plans to ensure the simplicity and clarity of the platform
  • Engage with engineers, leadership, and other product managers to identify, validate and lead key cross-functional roadmap initiatives
  • Solicit client feedback to drive platform and feature improvement
  • Describe, demo, and document key technical features of the platform extensibility for Arc XP customers and internal users as a subject matter expert
  • Identify internal processes and product features that will advance those goals in both the short and long term
  • Identify key metrics to drive adoption of new features and best practices, and report them to stakeholders
  • Report to Director of Product Management, Platform


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience of senior technical product management experience
  • Expertise in RESTful API and SDK design
  • Experience with DevOps workflows
  • Experience in the content management platform space
  • Familiarity with cloud computing providers such as AWS
  • Strong history and ability of being a problem solver with technology and process


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a backend or integration developer
  • Media/Publishing experience
  • Enterprise SaaS experience
  • Familiarity with data observability services such as Splunk or DataDog
  • Familiarity with data observability services such as AWS XRay, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk or DataDog
  • Experience with enterprise support teams
