Associate (Sr) w/ Kirkland & Ellis LLP (Washington, DC). Work w/in the Litigation practice grp, representing clients in complex commercial cases at both the trial & appellate levels. Reqs JD or LLM, or foreign equiv. Reqs admission to the DC bar. Min 3 yrs of experience as an associate attorney working w/in the Litigation practice grp of a global law firm. Must incl. 3 yrs: Supporting clients complex in commercial litigations incl. class actions, commercial disputes, antitrust, trade secrets, securities fraud, M&A-related litigation, & bankruptcy; Advising clients in various gov't investigations; Performing legal research & preparing legal memos to support litigation case strategies; Drafting discovery requests & responses; Drafting briefs incl. on dispositive motions, pleadings incl. complaints & answers, & other written submissions to the court; Preparing for & taking offensive & defensive witness depositions & working w/ experts in the preparation of expert reports for commercial litigation & preparing for offensive & defensive expert depositions; Drafting settlement agreements & mediation briefs; Preparing for & participating in hearings, oral arguments & other court appearances; & Preparing for witness depositions, exams & cross-exams.
