AARP's Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) Group includes Membership, Content and Editorial, Customer Experience, External Relations, Brand Strategy and Strategic Communications. Across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, ICM manages AARP's reputation, drives engagement and member growth, and showcases AARP's mission and value through one, integrated voice.

We are currently seeking four (4) highly skilled marketers to fill the roles of Integrated Marketing Managers . The Integrated Marketing Manager will design, execute, and analyze complex, highly strategic, multi-channel marketing efforts and/or customer journeys to achieve organizational objectives. Collaborates with product/issue SMEs, Channel leads, Brand, Legal, and other internal stakeholders, as well as external agencies, to plan and optimize marketing efforts. Ensures own projects are consistent and aligned with overall marketing strategies and adjacent ongoing projects. Tracks and assesses campaign results and adjusts marketing strategies and plans to meet changing channel, market, and competitive conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports internal and/or external teams and clients by creating proposals, presentations, and other materials using product/program information, data, and media insights. Assists with planning, creation, and execution of various strategic marketing communications.
  • Consults and collaborates with cross-functional teams, colleagues, and leadership to ensure the effective and timely execution and management of assigned programs or campaigns.
  • Monitors the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new opportunities for the organization to shape products, programs, and/or services most relevant to the target audience.
  • Provides guidance on marketing best practices and campaign strategies to colleagues and/or external partners, as necessary. Advises campaign stakeholders about next steps, opportunities, and risks based on best practices and lessons learned.
  • Monitors, reviews, and measures campaign performance, proactively communicating and elevating lessons learned to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the target audience(s), their unique wants, needs, and perceptions, and how they engage with the organization in order to execute strategies that deliver most relevant offerings and communications to consumers in the channel of their choice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA/Master's degree a plus
  • 7+ years of prior direct response marketing experience, with an emphasis on integrated marketing, digital marketing, personalization and/or segmentation, test-and-learn, marketing campaign strategy and execution
  • Knowledge of current marketing best practices in key channels: email, digital, social, etc.
  • Client-service mindset; agency experience a plus
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions with a positive attitude, while being resourceful and curious
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while exhibiting strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively and successfully in a matrixed organization. Talent for gaining respect and building consensus among stakeholders at different levels
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to derive insights from data. Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite. Familiarity with Tableau and/or Adobe Analytics a plus
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
