Department of Systems Engineering and Operations ResearchMultiple Open-Rank, Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty PositionsThe George Mason University Department of Systems Engineering and Operations Research (SEOR), within the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC), invites applications for one or more tenured or tenure-track faculty positions beginning fall 2023. Senior candidates with established records of outstanding research and excellent teaching will be eligible for tenured associate professor or professor positions. We are particularly interested in candidates in the following areas: human-machine teaming, ML/AI, optimization, energy systems, and healthcare. Candidates who can build collaborations with other departments within the College and across the University will benefit from the strong support and encouragement for interdisciplinary collaboration with the College and the University. The department offers an ABET-accredited BS in systems engineering, MS degrees in both operations research and systems engineering, and a PhD in systems engineering and operations research. The department participates in the school-wide MS in Data Analytics Engineering. The SEOR programs are ranked 39th nationally in their category in US News and World Report.
