Job Summary

Aptive Resources is hiring for a Management Consultant that has research support experience. The Management Consultant will need to be a research administrative support professional with familiarity with IRBNet software and also know the rules and regulations governing the conduct of human subjects' research. The Management Consultant will need project management experience, office/program administration experience, attention to detail, ability to use Excel, knowledge of English grammar and punctuation, and strong communications skills. The individual may also assist with the research committees (e.g., Stanford Research Systems [SRS], Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee [IACUC], Research and Development [R&D] Committee).

This immediate hire, full-time position is 100% remote.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Using IRBNet to document completed research projects.
  • Communicating deficiencies/inconsistencies found in the IRBNet entries to research team and working with the team to ensure that all documents are complete and accurate.
  • Managing and maintaining other tracking systems (e.g., compliance, audits) to ensure information in the system is accurate and complete. Prepare reports, as necessary, from the tracking system.
  • Providing administrative support for various research committees (e.g., SRS, IACUC, R&D), including creating agendas in IRBNet, taking meeting minutes, and entering data into IRBNet following committee meetings, as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's in health administration, public health, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of study coordination, project management, research, IRB or relevant work experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with VA/DoD and knowledge of military populations.
  • High level of experience and comfort working independently with senior leadership, investigators, faculty, staff, students, medical professionals, and external agencies in complex organizations.
  • Advanced knowledge of the scope and function of the IRB as well as the rules and regulations governing the conduct of human subjects research (e.g., VA, FDA, IRB, and GCP regulations)
  • Expertise in effective training, education, and presentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with relevant computer programs, including IRB web-based software (IRBNet experience preferred) and Microsoft Office suite, including MS Teams and SharePoint data/electronic file management tools.
  • Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written skills, including technical writing capabilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and manage deadlines.
  • Must possess discretion and mature judgment, as confidential information is routinely encountered.
