Westat is seeking a full-time Immunization Information Systems (IIS) Data Manager who will interact with experts in different subject matter areas (epidemiologists, economists, and social scientists), statisticians, and other programmers. You will have good understanding of the exchange of immunization data between immunization information systems (IISs), provider organizations, and consumer applications. Ideally, you will understand the opportunities and limitations of using IIS data; functionality of provider to IIS and IIS to IIS interface; and how to pull birth cohorts from IIS.

Job Responsibilities:
- Use SAS to perform data management tasks and support data analysis.
- Work with multifaceted teams comprised of subject matter experts, statisticians, and programmers.
- Conduct data reviews and create documentation.
- Assist with task timelines and management.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of managing a large data set (e.g., millions of records).
- Registry Data experience required.
- Familiar with administrative data.
- Use of SAS for data cleaning and transformations to support data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with linking multi-record per person data files.
- Experience with longitudinal studies.
- Experience with working on multiple projects and/or tasks at the same time.
- Knowledge of NIS is not required, but preferred
- Can create birth cohorts using different time periods (eg, point in time, period of time, followed over time)
- Proficient with creating and using SAS macros
- Experience with and understanding of Immunization Information System (IIS)
