We are seeking two (2) Digital Marketing Operations Managers to help plan and implement marketing operations projects. These roles Support multi-channel marketing plans meant to promote the organization and its products, programs, or services. Work with cross-functional creative teams and business liaisons to plan, develop, and drive marketing content multi-platform production projects to inform, educate, and influence both internal and external audiences. Collaborate with management to identify opportunities to streamline marketing processes and to develop new procedures that support the business unit/department.

Responsibilities

  • Executes channel strategy, manages daily operations, provides expert marketing guidance and support, and ensures AARP departments have access to email and SMS channel resources.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in marketing, regulatory compliance, performance management, and marketing operations. Monitors and enforces Channel policies, governance, and change management, identifying areas for improvement. Develops and maintains Email and SMS marketing plans to meet organizational goals, leveraging industry best practices. Creates and defines governance policies for email and SMS to align with channel policies and legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Promotes and maintains positive working relationships to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Reviews incidents and manages communication with clients. Schedules and lead regular work sessions to discuss current topics, clarify or develop processes, conduct training, review incidents, and resolve issues.
  • Inputs and updates commercial offer content and assets. Communicates Provider onboards, sunsets, and changes.
  • Reviews and performs quality control of commercial offer content for member benefit communications and/or research as requested.
  • Provides recommendations for member benefit communications and supplies approved copy and appropriately sized images for providers.
  • Manages a team of agency of record managers. Provides oversight and support of the day-to-day work of the managers responsible for client relationships.
  • Monitors, tracks, and manages contracts, including compliance, amendments, and updates as needed. Oversees alignment between agencies including about process, documentation/templates, contract issues, metrics and reporting, client service support, and other issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience executing email campaigns, with a strong track record of successfully managing email and SMS production workflows. Experience managing digital agency contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and create strategic plans while also executing flawlessly, exhibiting superior attention to detail, and ensuring deliverables are met with assigned deadlines. Ability to multi-task in a high paced fluid environment
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience deriving insights and recommendations from data and reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources, track utilization, and produce productivity reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to document a range of outputs from high-level strategies to execution details in a variety of formats such as Word, PPT, Excel, Visio, etc. and to a variety of stakeholders across a diverse and highly matrixed organization such as senior management and technical support teams
  • Strong understanding of email communication strategies: written and visual standards, deliverability, and segmentation practices. While this is not a technical role, exposure to technologies that drive dynamic and personalized email campaigns is preferred.
  • Comfortable with basic project management and Agile methodologies needed to execute on sophisticated campaigns. Ability to diplomatically solve problems, and provide conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to guide internal teams and direct agency work, with proven ability to work effectively with others to gain internal respect, influence, and consensus


Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
