NJVC is currently seeking anEditor Lead to join our growing team in Springfield, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Subject all produced video, graphic design, and transcription products to grammatical, typographical, and compositional reviews and corrections to be conducted within the standard or agreed to production timelines prior to final submission to the government.
- Provide the necessary services to capture, correct, edit, and output a written digital account of audio and video products. The transcribing process shall leverage relevant software to aid in automated transcriptions with the expectation that the product will be reviewed, re-edited, and condensed before being provided to the government.
- Review all products to ensure there are no grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors.
- Provide the following types of transcription services to meet the needs of the government:
- Oral Histories
- Voice recorded interviews that are typically 2-4 hours in length
- NGA Town Halls
- NGA director-led events
- Miscellaneous.
- Other transcription services as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field and 5+ years of related experience OR
- High school diploma or GED and 9+ years of related experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the career field of copy editing
- Active TS/SCI clearance
