The Marketing Manager Email/Digital Automatic Renew works to expand and optimize Automatic Renewal across the enterprise. Will develop and support marketing campaigns and implement strategies that support organizational growth objectives of Automatic Renewal in email, digital, contact center and service provider partner channels. Ensures own projects are consistent and aligned with overall marketing strategies and ongoing projects on the team's strategic roadmap. Tracks and assesses campaign results and adjusts marketing strategies and plans to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Supports internal and/or external teams and clients by creating proposals, presentations, and other materials using product/program information, data, and media insights. Assists with planning, creation, and execution of various strategic marketing communications.
  • Consults and collaborates with cross-functional teams, colleagues, and leadership to ensure the effective and timely execution and management of assigned programs or campaigns.
  • Monitors the competitive landscape and market trends to identify new opportunities for the organization to shape products, programs, and/or services most relevant to the target audience.
  • Provides guidance on marketing best practices and campaign strategies to colleagues and/or external partners, as necessary. Advises campaign stakeholders about next steps, opportunities, and risks based on best practices and lessons learned.
  • Monitors, reviews, and measures campaign performance, proactively communicating and elevating lessons learned to key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the target audience(s), their unique wants, needs, and perceptions, and how they engage with the organization in order to execute strategies that deliver most relevant offerings and communications to consumers in the channel of their choice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in email and direct mail marketing.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in Subscription Marketing is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, influence and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent business judgement and ability to recognize the business implications of data.
  • Excellent oral/written presentation skills; proficiency in preparation and presentation of proposals, plans, analytical reports, and documents regarding programs' operational status, achievement and performance.
  • Ability to work effectively with people, to gain internal respect and build consensus with superiors and peers.
  • Computer skills (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint).

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
