Principal Associate, Process Management

  • Job Description
    • We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and have the ability to adapt to change quickly. The Process Manager will provide critical operations management across the following areas: risk management, communications management, project management, process controls, improvements, organizational effectiveness, and change management. They will play a key role in delivering a streamlined Affidavits process as part of a large team. We are looking for someone who is excited about driving process improvements, working across multiple areas within Capital One, and helping us continue the transformation of our processes.

  • General Responsibilities:
    • Leading a team of associates onsite. Strong people leadership skills and the ability to develop your associates
    • Leading and owning oversight of process improvement work and collaborating with teammates on larger initiatives
    • Collecting data and information and using analytics and reporting to provide transparency to senior leadership and executives
    • Identify and implement process improvements driving issue resolution/risk mitigation activities
    • Tracking and resolving process breakdowns
    • Understanding customers' needs for the process and driving process improvements
    • Developing and maintaining formal process documentation including procedures and process flow diagrams
    • Acting as a subject matter expert to effectively partner with project customers to achieve the desired outcome or improvement by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions
    • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
    • At least 2 years of experience in Business Process Management or Project Management or Risk Management
    • At least 1 year experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
    • Proficient in Google Suite
    • At least 1 year of people leadership experience
    • At least 1 years experience in Banking Industry
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification
    • Knowledge of Consumer Legal Proceedings or Paralegal experience a plus
    • Experience with Legal Document review
    • Proficient with SQL
    • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
    • At least 4 years of experience in Business Process Management, Project Management or Risk Management
    • Notary Public, Virginia
