Awarded in August 2021 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has a three-year base period plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Weapons Systems Assessment Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. This individual will provide system engineering support to assist the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Capabilities and Limitations assessment of the Missile Defense System.

Responsibilities

Work you'll do

As an Senior Weapon Systems Assessment Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
  • Perform technical assessments to support Senior Leadership and Warfighter stakeholders in making fielding decisions for the sensors, battle managers, communications, and weapons systems of the Missile Defense System (MDS)
  • Provide direct technical support to the MDA by performing predictive analysis of MDS performance to support the technical rigor of test conditions, analytical support to system assessment leads, and synthesis and visualization of data to communicate key technical aspects of MDS performance

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Master's degree (STEM-engineering, math, science, or Information Technology)
  • 12+ years of full-time professional experience in areas such as DoD or other government agency civilian or contractor support, or support to other large, complex acquisition or development programs
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Strong background in analysis work .
  • Knowledge of the Weapon Systems, especially MDS radars .
  • Ability to present analysis results to various levels of personnel
  • Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements
  • Expertise in Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIAMD) Battle Command and Control (IBCS)
  • Understanding of Area Air Defense Plans (AADP) and Blue Force Designs
  • Synthesis of technical information to assess the technical performance of the MDS
  • Motivated to grasp the functionality of various missile defense systems such as battle managers, interceptors, radar sensors, and infrared sensors (GMD, Aegis, THAAD, Patriot, C2BMC, AN/TPY-2, and Overheads) .
  • Development of assessment objectives and metrics to accomplish agency commitments
  • Detailed knowledge of Ballistic Missile and Air Defense weapon systems
  • Detailed knowledge of Ballistic Missile and Air Breathing Threats
  • Familiarity and experience with the GMD Weapons System
  • Active Secret security clearance
