Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a UX Web Developer - Senior to provide support services to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC). The services will include related activities in support of all complete lifecycle management, software maintenance, software engineering, software sustainment, software replication and distribution, software control, Information Technology (IT) technical support services, Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS), Post Production Software Support (PPSS), and Cybersecurity. These services advance SEC's mission of ensuring operational readiness by developing, providing, integrating, and maintaining Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), Logistics, and Business Software.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work involves the technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and management of Internet and intranet activities
  • Work includes systems and application development, installation, configuration, implementation, and technical management of websites
  • Conduct usability audit and support development of a more user-friendly interface
  • Troubleshoot and resolve content migration errors
  • Review and update missing content, images, links and other information impacting the user experience or search engine optimization
  • Add or adjust audience pages to better target information to specific audiences
  • Use web data analytics and digital tools to improve overall performance
  • Track, quality check and resolve all web updates for review with the client on a regular basis
  • Make proactive recommendations to improve the user experience and campaign performance


Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe toolset and others
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces
  • Ability to support web application of any language to include .Netcore, Java Spring boot, Python
  • Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS and comparable languages
  • Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Experience creating storyboards and website mapping
  • Clear and effective at communicating requests, changes and user feedback and requirements through documentation and other means
  • Experience on an Agile team
  • Secret security clearance


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Jira software, preferably in the role of scrum master
  • Experience building and maintaining build and release pipelines with TFS 2017 and above
  • Hands-on experience with the following: C#, MS SQL Server, Oracle Databases, PostgreSQL, SQL Server Integration Services, ASP.Net MVC, Java, and Linux OS
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Tables, Views, Materialized Views, Database Links, Stored Procedures, and Packages
  • Working knowledge of Agile Development process and version control software (GIT, Microsoft TFSetc.)
  • Team Management experience is preferred
