Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a DevSecOps Senior to provide support services to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC). The services will include related activities in support of all complete lifecycle management, software maintenance, software engineering, software sustainment, software replication and distribution, software control, Information Technology (IT) technical support services, Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS), Post Production Software Support (PPSS), and Cybersecurity. These services advance SEC's mission of ensuring operational readiness by developing, providing, integrating, and maintaining Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), Logistics, and Business Software.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor processes analyze risk and manage incidents
  • Design, advise, and train software development teams in automation and integration activities required for DevSecOps workflow
  • Testing, selection and implementation of technologies, tools, and working methods;
  • Automation of security controls.
  • The maintenance of the system and the external and internal computer networks.
  • Control and management of security operations.
  • Participate in the construction of a "safety culture" by supporting the various teams and customers in the implementation of good safety practices


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or other technical discipline
  • Fluency in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C#, Python, Go
  • 5 years previous experience implementing automated workflows in CI/CD, DevOps, or DevSecOps environments
  • 5 years previous experience using tools enabling automated workflows, such as Jenkins, Gitlab, TFS, Bitbucket, Git, etc
  • 5 years previous experience with containers and container technology such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc
  • Must have experience with designing, advising, and training software development teams in automation and integration activities required for DevSecOps workflows
  • Must have experience scripting languages
  • 4 years previous experience implementing automation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle for DevSecOps pipelines
  • Knowledge of assessing the capability of existing DevSecOps pipelines throughout SEC, helping to design and implement improvements, and assist software development teams on their use
  • Must be IAT Level 2 Certified (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, and/or SSCP)
  • Secret security clearance
