Responsibilities:
- Conduct custom primary research projects for Washington Post clients throughout the organization. Research insights are used to assist executives in making informed decisions about Washington Post branding and consumer marketing, changes to existing products, and new product launches
- Manage all phases of the research process, from study design to fielding and reporting
- Develop survey questionnaires based on the stakeholders' key objectives and business questions
- Program survey questionnaires and test surveys for quality assurance
- Manage relationships with third party sample providers as needed
- Field surveys using Qualtrics survey software and monitor data collection
- Analyze survey data and create customized presentations of research results in PowerPoint
- Support the management of quantitative tracking studies, such as The Washington Post subscriber satisfaction and loyalty surveys.
- Leverage statistical software to analyze data, including merging data sources, cleaning data, creating sub-populations in the data set, and analyzing data by sub-populations as well as wave-over-wave
- Work with external third-party research vendors in designing, developing, and executing primary research activities as needed
- Coordinate logistics and create moderator guides for qualitative research projects, such as in-depth interviews and focus groups
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in primary market research and/or data analysis (experience working in media industry or advertising is desired)
- Demonstrated experience executing research projects end-to-end, from conception to execution, analysis, and reporting
- Extensive experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Experience with Qualtrics or other online survey tool, and SPSS, Q or other statistical software is preferred
