Overview

AM LLC is seeking Software Developer (SQL) to support the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) customer's enterprise Digital GI Bill program. Note: This is a mid-level opportunity.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required.

This role is currently remote and may require travel to the Washington, DC area 4-5 times per year at company expense.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of a team that will i mprove education claims processing and transforming other education and management systems for VA's Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) through automation, user interface / user experience design, service transformation, analytics, and other modern IT services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

General:
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of stakeholders from assistants to senior executives.

Specific:
  • Must have experiene in analyziing custoer needs and developing overall concenpt and design objectives
  • Must be able to create software in a variety of programming languagues and for a variety of IT software applciations
  • Must have experiene in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs

Qualifications

A Software Developer (SQL) must have the following expertise:
  • SQL
  • PL/SQL
  • PL.pgSQL
  • ProgresSQL
  • Oracle
  • Liquibase
  • Performanc tuning
  • Replication
  • User maintenance

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelore's degree in computer science, electronics engineering pr other engineering or technical discipline required
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experiene, with at least 4 of those years as a SQL developer.
  • 8 years of addtoinal, related experiene can be substituted for education
  • Previous VA experience and active PIV card highly desirable
